TC410 Plus - advice after display driver upgrade

Though I'm somewhat ashamed to admit, I went ahead and attempted to upgrade the Nvidia drivers on a TC410 Plus. Consequently, I've caused the error detailed in the attached photo. I've also noticed that this error/my action has affected some other functionality within the Tricaster, including the new Zoom Live Call Connect functionality that I was hoping to leverage with the upgrade to 8-4-250415C software build.

The information I'm pursuing is:
  • Is it possible to reinstall the Nvidia driver to resolve this issue?
    • If so, which version of Nvidia driver and where should I obtain it from?
  • Or....do I need to do a full system restore in order to resolve this issue?
    • If I've never done a Backup, is there a system restore available?
    • ...and would that possible available system restore be back to the original configuration present when I first received the system?
    • Is there a document that details the system restore process on the TC410 Plus?

I system restore is likely not required.

Yes, you can reinstall the nVidia driver using the clean install option. I'm wondering if the GeForce Experence was installed? This component isn't required for TriCaster operation, but it doesn't cause any problem either (it might trigger a warning).

And you should always use the nVidia Game Ready Driver version prior to TC SW build date, which was available to vizrt R&D team then for that build compilation 😉

Btw, this doc from vizrt´s knowledge base will help too (please note this article is back from Nov.2024)

I installed Nvidia driver version 566.36 from Dec. 05 2024, with a CLEAN install, and that cleared the error message that highlighted. Thank you for all your advice on this.

When I start a Live Production, I see this message in the Notifications area:
  • Unsanctioned software detected. Please consider a Restore operation. (see attachment)
Even if I clear that message from the Notifications, it returns.

Any further advice would be appreciated.

If you hover the pointer over that entry, there should be an option to display the warning message on next restart. The software warning message was changed from displaying each time the system runs to once every 30 days (with this less obtrusive message appearing in the notification center).

While I try to keep my systems clean and not have any warnings, the system is running okay the message can be ignored.

....
May I ask why you installed this Dec.05 2024 driver version after your TC upgrade to 8-4-250415, as you mentioned in your initial post above?
On my TC2E (yes, unit does have a different, ´older´, Graphic card) I installed a 572.83 (250318) availabe on nVida www for that TC build.

However, I don´t think this elderly driver does cause this Notification area message, but...
As Kane said above, if system still running fine, ignore it.

If you don´t know / remember what else might had been installed on your TC410 Plus and does still struggle now with TC software, I think the only way to get rid of this line may be indeed a Factory Restore, but again .... ;)
