My site was down yesterday for a few hours due to trouble caused by a plug-in. Fortunately, everything is resolved now. Thanks for being patient and I hope some of my tracks will be useful!
Thanks.
Thanks very much, working now.
I just skimmed it briefly and you got a lot there...which will take some time to browse through, some stuff I like, others a bit too synthesized and uniform perhaps..but I regognize you have made a variety of sound carpets to fit a multitude of scenarios.
Curious to what instruments you have been using?
I love movie scores, ambient music etc..
I thought I could recognize a bit of Vangelis inspiration perhaps in one of the first clips "enchanted places"
Dream voyager sounds nice with a bit of more contrast when you got some drums in there too.
I got me an old roland D50 ages ago, not using it sadly..don´t have time for it, wish I had...Had some cool soundcarpets made etc..but I reckon I have forgotten how to play now, had one expansion card for the d50 that made the sounds "thicker" I could also plug it to my creative soundblaster card and use soundfonts, that was cool..and I was planning to record my own soundsamples and use with that..but, too little time.
Personally I enjoy...
Vangelis
Brian Eno
Peter gabriel (birdy a masterpiece) last temptation of christ isn´t bad either.
Michael Oldfield
Daniel lanoi
Kate Bush
U2
More specific music score writers that I like...Michael Nyman "gattaca" Elliot Goldenthal "Titus" Thomas Newman "meet joe black" "American Beauty" "shawshank redemption"...and of course a few scores of John williams and james horner.
Claus Badelt for his "Time Machine"
Alexandre Desplat ..wonderful music for "The curious case of Benjamin button"
