Issues triming videos in DDRs

Dear,

we have a problem with the trimming of the DDRs. When we trim a video in DDR1 and move it to DDR2 (same in the other way) it does not respect the given in and out points. It is in the latest software release Build : 8-2-231227.

We have tested with a session from scratch too.

Does anyone more has this problem?

Regards

This is/was a known issue within 8-2-231227, see several post on this topic during the past months.

Now latest 8-3-240529 includes a bug fix for this. Download will give you this version, even the version info text on this page (Vizrt) still states 8-2-231221

Thanks Frank,

Honestly, before opening this thread I searched for posts related to trimming problems and I have not found any recent ones, can you point me to any, please? So I can see all the information

I just reproduced the error on one of the 410+ I have in the installation I am currently deploying that has the same firmware version as the TC1.

If I drag and drop the trimmed clip from one DDR to another there is no problem but if I copy and paste the trimmed clip (using the right click context menu) from one DDR to another it does not respect the trim and sticks the original video.
I have tried with Tricaster's example video “Vegas pool Lights”.

Is it solved in new release?

Regards

Thought this is related to your problem too, but now I understand yours is different.

I had no time yet on my end to install 8-3-240529 on my TC2E trying to duplicate what you describe, so maybe you indeed found a new one.

Hi Juan,
did you upgrade yet to 8-3-240529 ?

I did duplicate your finding with 8-2-231227 still installed before I upgraded to 8-3-240529 today.
Well, as far as I can see this is indeed solved in the new release - too !

I also tried in 8-3-240529 and when I drag clips between DDR's, the trim is preserved.

Thanks, @FrankPW @kanep

I have not yet been able to coordinate with the user a secure window to do the update (24x7 TV station). I hope to do it next week and confirm.

thanks for the help
