This is a really tricky set, so I'm not sure how useful it is, but it was fun anyway.

Set up your LiveMatte key settings first.
Turn on the LiveMatte Preview and leave it ON.
Put your "flames" or whatever on the Effects row.
Apply the effect to your talent.

This set has a ton of quirky things you can do with it, but the intended effect is with the LiveMatte preview enabled.

By keying different colors in the subject and enabling/disabling the matte preview you can get some really cool effects.

Enjoy ;)

Man how did you do that?
The black portion of the preview key leaks through a little.
This has what's on the effects bank showing through just a little.

How did you invert the matte.........

Thanks for the set,

Hehehe - I know, but I'll let John leak it in his own way and time ...

Nice application, John!

Heh, yeah Steve, I figured you would get it ;)

It's a huge hack right now, that's why the it has the bleed through, but it's still fun to play with.

John,

Just noted that, if you don't post the NewTek Forums again today, it would be good if you could post 65 times tomorrow. If that doesn't work for you, you could spread it out over some number of days. Just subtract the number of posts tomorrow from 65, and then add one more per day, or seven per week.

Now, how can I tastefully use enough Smileys to surround this post. Besides, I'll be censored for an inappropriate post on this forum.
