"Previously known as Viz|World"
I thought it is previously known as "Curious Maps Server/Client" or "GeoFX" or viz|maps...
Maybe I’ve just been locked here too long :D

Hi there. I want to split a globe into layers using the MapLayers plugin. This is easy on a flat map but where do I put it when creating a globe?

Map Layer over a Globe

Map Layer over a Globe

Hi,

You can use Map Layers plug-in on globe same as you are using it on a flat map, instead of Geo Image (object for – flat map), just use a globe object (as in the attached image).
But I always prefer creating Selected Regions/Borders/Labels… in Viz, instead of separating the texture data from Curious into containers in Viz (with ‘Map Layers’).
Because usually it looks much better / sharper when the data is translated into Viz object, and also you have more design and animation options when designing it all in Viz.
(For instance – you can add moving texture (on reflect mode), extrusion and animation to 3D Region object).

Latitude Longitude Rotation instead of Camera move on Globe Plugin

Latitude Longitude Rotation instead of Camera move on Globe Plugin

Hi All

I am trying to create a map where the location displayed through the Globe plug-in isn't achieved by the camera moving in that direction, but rather a latitude longitude offset created so that the camera stays stationary....

Any help would be greatly appreciated
