Tricaster Mini HDMI ports not working

I have recently purchased a Mini, and the HDMI inputs are not reading anything or sending video through the HDMI Outputs. I started having issues the third time out with it, where it was not finding the camera signal. Even though it had worked two previous times with the same equipment. Now it is to the point that it is not recognizing any signal. It will read NDI but nothing through the HDMI ports. Any ideas?

Presuming this is an HD-4 or HD-4i
Look in the vents on the back of the machine you should be able to see the glow from blue LEDs. If you see a RED glow the NewTek 'Main Board' is bad (or the power cable to it is disconnected).

I'd start with a loopback test. Use a short HDMI cable to take a TriCaster output to an input. Set the switcher PGM row to DDR1 and load a clip into the DDR1. If you can see that DDR video appearing in the connected input, then you know the TriCaster is video IO is working.

Pretty sure the hdmi ports don't work. You need to use the mini display port connectors. The TC Minis came with mini DP to hdmi and display port adapters for this purpose.

I purchased two Tricaster HDMI mini X machines a few weeks ago. One works fine after matching the camera frame rates with the session settings.

The second machine has many issues.
ISSUE 1: DDR auto play wouldn't work when I punched it on the program bus. When I selected another source on program, the DDR began playing. I couldn't find a way to fix the DDR issue, so I thought maybe I should update the software.

ISSUE #2: After navigating to the dashboard and selecting "Update Tricaster," I downloaded the software and restarted my machine. When my session re-appeared, the 2 cameras I saw before the update, disappeared from inputs 1 and input 2. I could see the embedded audio but no picture. As recommended, I created a new session and matched the camera frame rates with session settings. Still no picture in input 1 and input 2.

STEPS TO RESOLVE THE ISSUES: I thought, maybe there is a problem with the HDMI 1 and 2 ports. I then removed the HDMI cables from inputs 1 & 2 and connected the HDMI cables into inputs 3 and 4. For a little while I could view the cameras in inputs 3 & 4 but not directly from inputs 1 & 2. I wanted to see if any other sources could be seen in inputs 1 & 2 so I selected NDI sources into inputs 1 and 2 and found that I could see those NDI sources. I was also able to map a camera from HDMI input 3 into the Tricaster's Input 1 but not input 2. At this time, I don't know what to think. I can't find a pattern other than sometimes the cameras are seen and sometimes they are absent. I exited the session, then restarted the session and the same issues repeat themselves.

I tried a factory reset but now I can't re-register my Tricaster. Please advise.

I recommend contacting Vizrt support, if there is a hardware issue they will be able to help. I don't think the DDR autoplay issue has anything to do with hardware, but the HDMI input problem might.
