TC1 Stream problems with CBR and Keyframes since update to Build 8-3-240819

Hi everyone

Since the latest update of TC1 to Build 8-3-240819 we report a strange problem.
We always stream our content in CBR (constant bitrate) around 3Mbit/s with Keyframes every 2 seconds. Now since the update we see a strange, very short (aboud 1 or 2 Frames) distortion in the Video every 2 seconds. When we set the keyframe-interval to 1 second the video-distortion happens also every 1 second. Same when we set the Keyframes to 3 sec. the fault is also every 3 seconds. When we increase the streamquality to 10 MBit/s then the error is still there but the distortion is a little bit less.

When we set the stream to VBR (variable bitrate) then the error is gone. But we need the stream in CBR. I already have my TC1, my Win10 and my NVidia driver updated to the latest version. The error is still there. I dont know what to do anymore. Has anybody the same Problem? Maybe some advice what we can do? Else we have to downgrade the TC1 to the previous version. But thats not what i want.

When you set to VBR what is the final bitrate of the file if you check it with a tool like ffprobe? What you are describing sounds like a loss of quality between keyframes which normally happens when the bitrate is too low to maintain quality . I have seen some VBR settings on various encoders for over the target bitrate by 50%

Thanks for your reply. The thing is we really need a constant Bitrate a little bit under 3Mbit/s. With VBR we often go over this 3MBit for few seconds. This is not practicable for us. Thats why we need the CBR. And before the Update from TC1 we never had this Problem.

if you can install the old software version, start a fresh session and do a record and show the quality vs the updated software using the same session (and thus settings) I think it would be worth sending along cause then I could replicate it too and open a ticket :) I just don't use the built in streaming encoders too often.

Thank you. The Downgrade is a Problem. But i know that everything on CBR was ok with the last version we used. We used it every day. Since the update there is this 2 seconds (every keyframe) distorsion. You can download my samle-video here. It's possible to download until 09.02.2025.
