Subgroup in Tricaster

Hi everyone,

Is it possible to create a subgroup in TriCaster between the Main Mix and M/E? For example, if I cut the Media Player (DDR) on the PGM, the M/E should also cut the DDR to the PGM. However, if I cut camera inputs to the PGM, the M/E should cut a logo to the PGM instead.
I heard this is possible on a Grass Valley switcher.

Think this should help:

This is a tutorial for linking the Main row with the M/E row. However, I want to know if the following is possible: For example, if I cut the Media Player (DDR) on the Main PGM row, the M/E row should also cut the DDR to the M/E PGM. On the other hand, if I cut camera inputs to the Main PGM row, the M/E row should cut a logo to the M/E PGM instead.

You can accomplish this with Macro Triggers. Ive added simple source input cuts on sources needed.
This would technically be a subset or beginning of source substituition.

Example.
Input 1 Settings - Automation - State Change - PGM Row
Create a Macro like this --->> Shortcut: v1_a_row-named_input Value: BFR1

Now when you select Input 1 on PGM A Row, this macro will automatically execute and take BFR1 on M/E1 A Row.
You can do this for every input youd like, and decide what source youd liek for M/E 1 to have. In your example, You would create a Macro for your DDRs to mirror P/P & M/E 1. There is the option to trigger this when this state is active or inactive, which gives alot of different possibilities.

The next step, and more complex, would be setting up global variables to do this for you all the time, but it is absolutely time consuming at first. So I wanted to give you a starting point.

Edit: added a screenshot to the Input Automations tab for reference.

Are these settings available for all Tricaster models? They are not showing on the Tricaster Mini.
