hello

How many mix can I record on hard drive D for 3 hours without experiencing performance issues on TC2?

Sorry for my bad English

The TC2 has a RAID storage of four SSD for recording, so you should be able to record quite a lot on the system. The maximum number will depend on the video format (resolution and framerate), with any video format should be able to do at least 8, and I think I've heard of people handling around 12 for 1080p59.94 formats.

The only way to know for sure if the number of recordings you want will work, is to perform a full-length record test. If the storage isn't fast enough for the number of recordings, you will send up with files being 'chopped' or broken into multiple chunks. If you see that, then you know something performance wise didn't keep up.

It is important to do the full-time length for recording for the test, SSD drives have caching, and if you only do a 5- or 10-minute test, it will likely work because you are working within the caching performance. If you were just on the edge of being 'too much' it might take an hour (or more) of recording before the cache fills and then you get the real-world SSD writing performance.
