Convert analog audio to NDI ( no video needed)

Hi,

I'm looking for an easy and not expensive way to convert 2 channels of analog audio to NDI, without having to supply any video. Does anyone have a suggestion ?

Thanks !

You could use the free NDI Connect software with a USB audio interface running on a PC. Technically there will still be a video channel, but it will just be black video. NDI does support elementary streams, if the receiving application only requests audio, that it all that will be sent.

That is an option as well. You will just get a blue signal with no video connected, but it will operate with no video source.

Hi Kane, Sorry to reopen such an old thread, but I was attempting above with an old original Connect Spark via the ethernet cable out of the spark. If I use just stereo analog audio from my audio console to the trs mini input on the spark, I get garbled audio at the TriCaster. If I plug an old AW HE 50 camera into the HDMI port the audio at the TriCaster stabilizes. Any ideas? If not, just to not have a camera sitting in the bottom of my rack to provide clock to the NDI stream; my next try will likely be an XLRF to Dante "dongle" and BirdDog NDI Bridge.
