Are you thinking of the service file?
    C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\services
You can change the same line as you do when using VizSend. See my earlier post here:
    http://forum.vizrt.com/showthread.php?t=5215
Maybe just change the line in the services file to be:
    peak-ev 6800/tcp # vizrt
Basicly if you can use VizSend and get that to work then you can use any other external app to connect the same way.
    Or have a look here:

    Thanks Lars,
As far as I understand it, communication with viz is dependent on a .dll file supplied by Viz, and this specifies port 6100. Not sure if totally correct.

It very much depends on what the external app is, as it is there you need to tweak the setting.

Trio All in one + external app

    Hello,
I have set up a Trio all in one box, so trio and the viz engine use separate renderers effectively. The trio renderer uses port 6100, the original port for the Viz engine, and the viz engine now uses port 6800. The problem that I have is that an external application that is used in conjunction with Trio is still trying to communicate with the engine on port 6100. How do I get the application to use port 6800?
    Thanks,
    Andy.
