  • Read the name of the scene that is loaded via script

    Hey everyone,
    Do any of you know how to read the name of the scene that is loaded via script? I want to do nothing if it is the callup scene & then perform an action if it is the default scene.

    never mind, I found the answer;

    Sub Oninit()
    Dim SceneName as String
    SceneName = Scene.Name
    End Sub

      Nix that, it works if it is in the callup scene, but doesn't seem to work in the default scene. This is being run from a script container. Any ideas?

        Try this..
        Dim SceneName as string
        SceneName = System.Scene.Name

        You can also get the Tree Hierarchy of the Scene, RENDERER*TREE GET... However you will need to wrap this commands as a System.SendCommand("RENDERER*TREE GET"), You can also specify the layer it should check ... for example, RENDERER*MIDDLE_LAYER GET
